SUFI CIRCLE

Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: October 5, 2026

Welcome to Sufi Circle. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your registration for, attendance at, and participation in Sufi Circle gatherings, events, programs, workshops, and related offerings.

Sufi Circle is a program of Spiritual Leaders Institute, a California nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Sufi Circle,” “Spiritual Leaders Institute,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Events may be held in California and in other locations.

By registering for or participating in a Sufi Circle event, you agree to these Terms.

1. Nature of Sufi Circle

Sufi Circle offers spiritual, contemplative, educational, and community experiences that may include meditation, guided visualization, spiritual teachings, discussion, music, singing, chanting, Sama, sound practices, breath awareness, gentle movement, energetic or spiritual practices, and related activities.

Participation is voluntary. You are always free to pause, modify, or decline any practice.

Sufi Circle is intended to support personal reflection, spiritual exploration, community, and well-being. Individual experiences and results vary, and we do not guarantee any particular spiritual, emotional, physical, or personal outcome.

2. Not Medical, Mental Health, or Professional Care

Sufi Circle and its events are not medical care, psychotherapy, psychological treatment, psychiatric care, physical therapy, or another licensed health-care service unless a service is expressly identified as such and provided by an appropriately licensed professional acting within that professional capacity.

Information, practices, teachings, meditation, energy-oriented practices, and spiritual guidance offered through Sufi Circle are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, medical condition, mental-health condition, or other health condition.

Nothing provided through Sufi Circle should be used as a substitute for advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified physician, mental-health professional, or other licensed professional.

Do not delay or discontinue professional care because of anything experienced or discussed at Sufi Circle.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact appropriate emergency services or a qualified health professional.

3. Spiritual and Energetic Practices

Sufi Circle may use language relating to energy, spirituality, remembrance, Divine connection, transformation, healing, opening the heart, consciousness, or similar spiritual concepts.

These terms describe spiritual, contemplative, or subjective experiences. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they are not medical claims or promises of health outcomes.

You are responsible for determining whether a particular spiritual, meditative, energetic, breath, sound, or movement practice is appropriate for you.

4. Personal Responsibility

You are responsible for your own physical, mental, and emotional well-being before, during, and after an event.

Please listen to your body and your own limits.

If an activity feels physically or emotionally inappropriate for you, you should stop, modify the activity, or choose not to participate.

If you have a medical, psychiatric, physical, neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, pregnancy-related, or other condition that could reasonably be affected by meditation, breath practices, movement, sound, emotional processing, or outdoor conditions, consider consulting an appropriate licensed professional before participating.

5. Outdoor and Beach Events

Some Sufi Circle gatherings take place outdoors, including on or near beaches and other public spaces.

Outdoor participation may involve risks including uneven ground or sand, water, tides, weather changes, heat, sun exposure, dehydration, insects, wildlife, slippery surfaces, traffic, darkness, other members of the public, and other conditions outside our control.

You are responsible for appropriate clothing, hydration, sun protection, footwear, seating, personal belongings, and any other items reasonably needed for your comfort and safety.

Events may be moved, modified, postponed, or canceled because of weather, unsafe conditions, governmental restrictions, venue conditions, or other circumstances.

6. Assumption of Risk and Release

By voluntarily participating in Sufi Circle, you acknowledge that meditation, movement, spiritual practices, outdoor activities, gatherings in public spaces, and related activities may involve known and unknown risks, including the risk of physical injury, emotional distress, illness, and property loss.

You voluntarily assume the risks associated with your participation.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU RELEASE AND AGREE TO HOLD HARMLESS SPIRITUAL LEADERS INSTITUTE, SUFI CIRCLE, AND THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, FACILITATORS, CONTRACTORS, AND EVENT PARTNERS (THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) FROM ALL CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, PROPERTY LOSS, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN A SUFI CIRCLE EVENT. THIS INCLUDES CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF PARTICIPATION AND CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES.

This release does not apply to gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct, or to any liability that cannot be waived under the law of the place where the event is held.

7. Emergency Assistance

If we reasonably believe that a participant requires urgent medical assistance, we may contact emergency services or seek assistance on the participant’s behalf.

We cannot guarantee the availability or outcome of emergency care, and participants remain responsible for medical or emergency-service costs charged to them.

8. Photography, Video, and Audio

Photography, video recording, or audio recording may occur at certain Sufi Circle events.

Where your identifiable image, likeness, voice, or recording will be used for promotional or advertising purposes, the applicable media consent presented during registration or at the event governs that use.

If media consent is a condition of attending a particular event, that will be disclosed before you register.

If you record other participants yourself, you are responsible for respecting their privacy and obtaining any consent required by law. Many states, including California and Florida, restrict recording private conversations without the consent of everyone involved.

9. Community Conduct

Sufi Circle is intended to be a respectful and welcoming environment.

Participants may not engage in harassment, threats, violence, unwanted sexual conduct, discriminatory abuse, deliberate disruption, or behavior that we reasonably believe threatens the safety, dignity, or experience of other participants.

We may ask a participant to leave an event when reasonably necessary to protect the group, the facilitator, or the integrity of the gathering.

10. Personal Belongings

You are responsible for your own belongings.

To the extent permitted by law, Sufi Circle is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or unattended personal property.

11. Donations

Some Sufi Circle events are offered by donation.

Unless otherwise stated, donations are voluntary and do not purchase a particular spiritual outcome, result, status, or level of access.

Spiritual Leaders Institute is a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: [ADD EIN]). Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your tax adviser.

Donations processed by third-party platforms such as Zeffy may also be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

12. Third-Party Services

We may link to or use third-party services such as registration platforms, Telegram, Zeffy, email or SMS providers, mapping services, social-media platforms, or other technology providers.

Those services are operated independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the independent practices of third-party services.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Sufi Circle teachings, written materials, guided practices, graphics, branding, recordings, course materials, and other original content remain the property of Spiritual Leaders Institute or the applicable rights holder.

Your attendance does not grant permission to commercially reproduce, publish, sell, or distribute those materials.

Please obtain permission before professionally recording or redistributing teachings or facilitated portions of an event.

14. No Guarantee

Spiritual practice is deeply personal.

We do not guarantee enlightenment, healing, transformation, relationship outcomes, financial outcomes, physical changes, emotional changes, mystical experiences, or any other particular result from participating in Sufi Circle.

15. Participants Under 18

If minors are permitted at a particular gathering, a parent or legal guardian must register and consent on the minor’s behalf, and may be required to accompany the minor.

A parent or guardian must provide any required media consent on behalf of a minor.

16. Changes to Events or These Terms

We may reasonably modify event schedules, locations, facilitators, activities, or other event details.

We may also update these Terms periodically. The effective date above indicates the current version.

Material changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the law of the place where an event is held requires otherwise.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or a Sufi Circle event will be handled in the appropriate courts located in California.

18. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest of these Terms will remain in effect.

These Terms, together with any event-specific terms and the consents you give at registration, are the entire agreement between you and us about Sufi Circle events.
